Cyanotype
The Process
- Invert an image, and print it.
- Paint light sensitive paper with the correct chemicals. Make sure this is done in a completely dark room, as to not expose the paper early.
- Place the translucent inverted image over the light sensitive paper, and use clips to anchor the invert in place.
- Introduce your set to sunlight. Only do this on a day with complete sunlight. Expose for around 10-12 minutes.
- When done exposing, rinse off the cyanotype in water (to get rid of the yellow tones on the paper).
- Then completely submerge your paper into Hydrogen Peroxide. This will deepen the blue tones on your paper. Allow to dry.
